Comprehensive DNI cover, included as standard at no additional charge to clients.
What is it?
All Class Solutions have a Drivers Negligence Insurance policy in place to make a contribution towards damage caused to vehicles being driven by our agency supplied drivers to our clients. The intention of the cover is to enable our clients to reclaim small repair costs rather than having to claim under their own motor insurance.
Under our policy, the maximum amount for any claim for loss or damage to such vehicles shall be limited to £25,000. (This includes the reasonable cost of removal to the nearest repairer). The excess for each claim is set at £750 (payable by the client) for drivers aged 24 and over; and £1,000 (payable by the client) for drivers aged 23 and under.
In order for any claim to be successful it must be very clear that the driver acted negligently, if this is not the case then no claim can be made.
Key points
- Only covers damage to the vehicle being driven by the agency driver
- Does not cover any 3rd party damage to vehicles or property
- Does not cover any stock being carried by the vehicle.
- Does not cover if the vehicle has been stolen
- Does not cover environmental damage or damage to buildings, walls, bridges fences/hedges
- Does not cover incorrect use of fuel
- Clients must at all times operate the same system of check and supervision as if the temporary driver were your own employee. Failure to do so may result in the cover being void.
Additional Information
- DNI is an insurance policy included within your hourly rates charged on invoices. Therefore DNI will become void if invoices exceed payment terms. Late/overdue payments on accounts will affect the cover. In order to ensure that cover remains you must keep within the agreed payment terms.
- As all road traffic accidents will already be insured by your own motor insurance policy, this will mean you have double insurance in place. Double insurance is where the same risk is insured by two overlapping but independent insurance policies. It is lawful to obtain double insurance, but the insured cannot profit (recover more than the loss suffered) from this arrangement. Therefore, any claim that exceeds the maximum claim amount should be processed through your own motor insurance policy in order to avoid two lots of excess payments.
Making a claim
To successfully make a claim under our DNI policy, All Class Solutions must:-
- Receive notification of the accident as soon as possible via a telephone call so that we can begin collating the necessary information. Ideally, this notification would be via phone call backed-up by an email sent to info@allclasssolutions.co.uk no later than 7 days after the accident occurred.
- Be in receipt of all required documentation (see below) via email within 60 days of the accident date.
Required Information To Process A Claim
To date, All Class Solutions to date have never had an unsuccessful legitimate claim. We ensure that all of our clients benefiting from the additional security of the DNI policy are kept informed every step of the way and we work hard to make the whole process as stress free as possible.
- A written (signed and dated) statement from the driver that includes; (1). Acknowledging negligence on his/her behalf; (2). An explanation of how the accident occurred and the series of events that led to the accident.
- Confirmation of the vehicle/trailer registration number being driven at the time.
- The date and time of the accident.
- Any other necessary information relevant to the claim at the time.
- Photographic evidence of damages to the vehicle in question.
- Drivers’ defect report.
- Cost of damages to the vehicle. Initially, to help process a claim quicker, we can accept an estimate quotation of damages, yet we will require a final itemised repair invoice before a final pay-out can be issued.
Please note that in the unlikely event that a driver will not provide a written statement or denies negligence, All Class Solutions may need to gather additional evidence from you. For example:-
- Any available CCTV Evidence
- Third party witness statement(s)
Insurance claims should not be invoiced to All Class Solutions. The final claim amount (less the excess) will be remitted once the claim has been processed and agreed.
